The Parcopedia section of the Parks of the Cozie Alps website has been recently updated and enriched with content. In recent weeks, the information about fauna, flora, and habitats in the Protected Areas has been significantly expanded, with particular attention to the most valuable and threatened species. It is a way to enhance the ecological heritage present in the parks, "champions of biodiversity," as the agency's slogan states.

In the course of 2025, the park rangers of the Protected Areas of the Cozie Alps increased daytime and nighttime monitoring activities regarding fishing in the Natural Park of the Avigliana Lakes, issuing sanctions and carrying out seizures of prohibited equipment. However, beyond the repressive nature of the work carried out, the goal remains the prevention of illegal behaviors to protect those who respect laws and regulations and, above all, to defend a common heritage that belongs to everyone: the environment.

On October 16 and 17, a meeting took place at the headquarters in Salbertrand of the Protected Areas of the Cozie Alps among the partners of the ALCOTRA ACLIMO project, the cross-border initiative Italy-France dedicated to water resource management in times of climate crisis. The Italian staff from the Protected Areas of the Maritime Alps, the Gesso Stura River Park, the Regional Natural Park of the Ligurian Alps, and the Gran Paradiso National Park, along with their French colleagues from the Mercantour National Park, the Écrins National Park, and the Vanoise National Park, gathered for an intensive two-day exchange on the progress of work and field visits to observe some initiatives under development in the Parks of the Cozie Alps.

The initiative is one of the actions of the Life Predator project, of which the Protected Areas of the Cozie Alps are partners, aimed at containing the Silurus glanis, the aquatic predator that represents an invasive alien species in the freshwater basins of Southern Europe.

On the late afternoon of Wednesday, September 24, 2025, the park rangers of the Management Authority of the Protected Areas of the Cozie Alps, in constant contact with the Director, intervened in Val Chisone, at a pasture in Pian dell’Alpe (municipality of Usseaux), following a report from a farmer who stated that he had been injured by a wolf while trying to prevent the predation of one of his sheep.
